Dr. Rosaire Ifedi, Board Chair of INPREM Holistic Community Resource Center
Dr. Rosaire Ifedi, Board Chair of INPREM Holistic Community Resource Center is genuine, impactul, and authentic. Born and raised in Nigeria, Dr. Rosaire came to The United States in 1988. “When I first came to The United States, I lived in Maryland, and I was not planning on staying. I relocated to Ohio the following year with my husband where we got married in 1990 and started our family.”
From the time Dr. Rosaire was a child, she always wanted to be a teacher, and follow in her mother’s footsteps. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in both Education and English from the University of Nigeria located in Nsukka. Dr. Rosaire continued at the same university and earned her Masters in English as a Second Language. In 2007, Dr. Rosaire earned her Doctorate from Ashland University. “My mother passed in 2003 and she continues to be my driving force, to this day. My father passed away when I was only four years old, and my mother raised eight children on her own. She was a fantastic role model and a woman of substance.”
Dr. Rosaire’s teaching career began in 1985 in Nigeria. After her relocaton to Ohio, she worked as a Substitute Teacher at Columbus City Schools, as Adjunct Faculty at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio, at the London Correctional Institution and at the Madison Correctional Institution.
Hired as an Assistant Professor in 2008, Dr. Rosaire has risen to the rank of Associate Professor at Ashland University, teaching Masters of Education and Doctoral candidates. “I am motivated by encouraging and inspiring others to become whatever they’re meant to be. Identifying potential and bringing out the best in my students is exciting to me. My students are empowered to envision their future and achieve their dreams.”
While serving as President of the Columbus Chapter of the African Christian Fellowship, Dr. Rosaire invited local Pastors to an event. Apostle Alex Clotey, Pastor of In His Presence Ministries International and Executive Director/CEO of INPREM Holistic Community Resource Center was one of our guest ministers in attendance. “We connected at the event, and I was impressed with his vibrant energy and positivity. We stayed in touch over the years. In 2019, as I was finishing up my term as the Chair of the Ohio New African Immigrants Commission, he invited me to join the Board and I have the honor of providing counsel and advocating for immigrants and refugees. I enjoy meeting with community stakeholders regarding the Vision and Mission of INPREM Holistic Community Resource Center.”
Due to Dr. Rosaire’s innate ability to effectively communicate, she is focused on INPREM’s growth and expansion as well as outreach to the community. The Annual Turkey Giveaway is important and is offered in conjunction with the Food Pantry which operates 5 days a week and the third Saturday of the month.
“Being present at the Food Pantry is an amazing site to behold. The client’s eyes light up with gratitude. It is humbling to know that we are fulfilling a need that otherwise would not be met.”
Board service is nothing new to Dr. Rosaire. Over the course of the past 30 years, she has served with the African Christian Fellowship-Midwest Region, Central Ohio Parents Leadership Training Institute, and The Salvation Army. “I join and serve in organizations where I can make an impact. I believe in surrounding myself with those who are authentic. Say what you will do, then do what you say!” As a Woman of God, Dr. Rosaire Ifedi also serves as a Pastor at Christ International Community Church under the senior leadership of Dr. Simbo Odunaiya. As she leads others, she is led by TheMaster Orchestrator. “Trust the process as He will get us to where He wants us to go. My favorite scripture now is Philippians
4:13, ‘ I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.’”
