Dr. Rosaire Ifedi – ED. DChairperson
Dr. Rosaire Ifedi is associate professor of education at Ashland University. She has authored
books, book chapters, and articles and presented nationally and internationally at professional
conferences. She was the inaugural chair of Ohio New African Immigrants Commission from
2017-2019. The NAIC was created by consent of the Ohio Governor and legislature to advocate
for Africans in Ohio. Dr. Ifedi also chairs the Subcommittee on African Immigrants, City of
Columbus/Franklin County 2020 U.S. Census Complete Count Committee.
She is an ordained pastor serving under the leadership of Snr Pastor, Dr. Simbo Odunaiya at
Christ International Community Church, where she has primary responsibility of membership
and welfare. She serves in leadership roles in the local and regional platforms of the African
Christian Fellowship-USA. She actively participates in the Midwest Region’s medical,
evangelical, and humanitarian mission work in Malawi, Southern Africa.
As part of the CDT for the Central Ohio Parent Leadership Training Institute, Dr. Ifedi finds
expression in parent and child empowerment. She’s involved in other non-profit organizations
both here and in Nigeria. She derives joy in mentoring, encouraging, and empowering others,
especially young people and women. Dr. Ifedi is married to Dr. Ifeanyi Ifedi and they are blessed
with four grown children.
